Kelly Osbourne, daughter of Ozzy and overnight star herself thanks to MTV's reality series "The Osbournes," has backed out of what would have been her feature film debut.

Citing personal reasons (her mother Sharon is battling colon cancer), Osbourne will not be participating in Mark S. Waters' remake of the 1976 comedy "Freaky Friday," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original film starred Jodie Foster as tomboyish Annabel, who hassles her widowed mother (Barbara Harris) about everything. Meanwhile, mom isn't too happy with Annabel's attitude. They both think that the other has an easy life, until one Friday morning when they mysteriously switch bodies and have a chance to step in each other's shoes for a day.

In the new version, the mom, played by Annette Bening, is also about to get remarried. Mother and daughter, played by Lindsay Lohan ("The Parent Trap" ), have to find a way to get back into their own bodies.

Osbourne was to have played Lohan's character's best friend and leader of an all-girl band. She was also to contribute a song to the movie's soundtrack. Actress Christina Vidal ("Details" ), who had a smaller role in the film, will now play the part.
